Effective December 1, Bob Butella will be leaving CLGW. Bob has accepted a position
at Sunbeam in Kitchener.
Bob joined CLGW in 1997. I am not sure if at that particular time he started thinking about what legacy he would eventually leave behind. Leaving a legacy is about the significance of our talents and our passion. Bob has always been challenged to balance the bottom line as mandated by the ministry but also within that framework balance creativity with practicality and to strive to instill ownership in every individual at CLGW.Leadership also brings with it a responsibility to do something of significance that makes families, communities, work organizations, and the world a better place than it is today.
During his time with us Bob has provided strong leadership and commitment. He has always taken the time to listen to those who we support and understand the world through their eyes. This is quite obvious as you follow Bob through his day to day activities and watch his interactions with those who we support. His ability to connect is one of his many strengths. During my time working with him I have found him to be a values led person, uncompromising on those strong values. We have been extremely fortunate to have been the beneficiary of his leadership for 18 years. Bob we will miss you! You certainly have left a strong legacy behind.
