Kronos and ADP Payroll Systems Implementation

Hi everyone!

The HR & IT team, in conjunction with the management team has been embarking on a new system implementation project, in which we are moving to new systems for our HR/Time and Labour database and also moving to an upgraded enhancement to our Payroll database, ADP – Workforce Now. After an internal audit that took place in 2015, the management team recognized that there was room for improvement and increased efficiency with our current systems. We are excited that these new systems will allow for:

  • Enhanced scheduling capabilities
  • Enhanced reporting and analytics and documentation storage
  • On-line recruitment database and applicant tracking
  • Employee Self Service including mobile application

Kronos Workforce Ready, which will be our new Time and Labour and HR database will give us the tools we need to more effectively manage labour costs, minimize compliance risk, and improve workforce productivity. The solutions from Kronos make complete automation and high-quality information a reality.

We have an implementation team that has been working hard on building our new system to ensure that it has all of the functionality that we need. This team will be going through our first phase of testing next week, in which we have selected a small employee group to participate in our first parallel payroll.

What does this mean for you?

You will be receiving training on our new system and asked to participate in a parallel payroll during the month of October, where you will be required to double punch into our current Time and Labour system (Ez-labor) as well as our new Kronos system. We anticipate that this may be needed for up to 2-payroll cycles so that we can ensure a smooth transition to our new, Kronos – Workforce Ready system. Additionally you will be given new log-in information for our ADP system where you can view your pay stubs and T4’s.
