Let’s come together over Zoom! There’s been a lot going on these past few months, and with the pandemic, we haven’t been afforded the opportunity to meet face to face. It might be one of my favourite parts of my role – being able to sit, listen, and talk with people about the work we do.
So let’s get the ball rolling, virtually, and hopefully we’ll be meeting face to face real soon!
These town halls will include:
- A little intro from me
- A pandemic update (including having pre-submitted questions answered by WDGPH)
- A Services and Organizational update
- And Special Guest: People4People, giving us an update about their 2021 aspirations
- A short Q&A period at the end
To help put faces to names, each Town Hall will have a maximum of 50 attendees. Registration is required to help us manage this so pick your date and time quickly. Thanks for your understanding!
If we reach capacity, we’ll look at holding more sessions in the near future. We’ll also be recording the first session, and can send you a link if you’re unable to join any of the town halls.
Please click a date and time below that works for you. It will take you to Zoom to register for that specific town hall.
- Monday March 29th from 6:30-7:30pm
- Thursday April 1st from 6:30-7:30pm
- Thursday April 8th from 10-11am
These dates are geared towards DSPs and pandemic related questions that affect service. Admin staff: please note that we will be hosting an alternative date for you. Please watch your inboxes.
If you have a question for myself, about the pandemic (vaccines, PPE, protocols), or about our services, please pre-submit your question at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/march-april-townhall-questions. To accommodate WDGPH, please submit before March 19th. We will do our best to get to as many questions as we can. You may also submit follow-up questions in the chat during the town hall!
I would really enjoy seeing your faces, and hearing your voices during the Q&A portion. We chose to use Zoom for these meetings to have this interactive capability. Please consider joining from a device that has a microphone and a camera, like a smart phone, or a computer or tablet that has these capabilities. If you will be on shift and joining in for a few minutes as you can, the residence’s tablet should have these capabilities. If a person we support has not booked the tablet, you may consider booking it to support you with joining in.
Please also consider testing your Zoom capability before hand. You can do so by going to: https://zoom.us/test
If you need tech support to get connected, please contact the Help Desk at 226-314-0800
I’m really looking forward to meeting many of you!
