Further to our memo of June 11, 2018 we had a discussion at our Labour Management meeting yesterday and we have agreed on the following:
1. For time off requests received prior to the schedule being posted we will attempt to fill with SMS gateway ONCE. For any shift/s not covered via SMS gateway process we will schedule part time staff based on their submitted availability.
2. For time off requests received after the schedule is posted we will attempt to fill with SMS gateway TWICE, then we will reject if unable to cover.
3. Part-time staff will submit their availability to the schedulers by July 5th. We will commence scheduling part-time as necessary (see #1) for the schedule to be posted on July 18th. Please forward availability to scheduling@clgw.ca and cc: your supervisor.
4. We are looking at options to automate the availability piece in Kronos and will follow-up at a later date on that piece.
