National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week

April 10th to the 16th is National Volunteer Week. On behalf of everyone from Community Living Guelph Wellington, I would like to take this opportunity to say a sincere thank you to all of our hard working volunteers. You are a dedicated group of individuals that do so much, but ask for so little in return. We are very lucky to have all of you.

At Community Living Guelph Wellington we are fortunate enough to have over 100 volunteers that give their time and help in many different ways. We have people who work one to one with the people we support; others are on the Board of Directors, or serve on different committees; we have E-Buddies, Friendship group leaders, pet therapy volunteers, ARC Open House volunteers, gardening and horticulture volunteers, Sunset Club volunteers, Christmas music program volunteers, bike riding volunteers, track and field volunteers, and University of Guelph students who help with the Best Buddies program.

Community Living Guelph Wellington hosts a number of events throughout the year. The success of our Fashion Show, The Poor Boys Lunch, The Norm Jary golf tournament, and many other important and fun events are largely dependent on the time our volunteers give.

While we acknowledge all your hard work during this National Volunteer Week, please know that everything you do, and your continued dedication to CLGW is sincerely appreciated all year round.

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” ~Anne Frank

Thank You Volunteers!
